CVE-2026-40978Network attack vectorHinoki check available

SQL injection via interpolated document IDs

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

SQL injection in Spring AI 1.0.0 through 1.0.5 and 1.1.0 through 1.1.4 allows attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries. CosmosDBVectorStore.doDelete interpolates each document ID inside a quoted SELECT statement and submits the resulting string to Cosmos DB instead of binding the ID as a parameter. The path is reachable only when an application uses CosmosDBVectorStore and passes user-supplied document IDs; injected queries run within the application's Cosmos DB access context.
