Remote code execution via locale path traversal
Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026
Path traversal in World Wide Broadcast Network AVideo 29.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The locale/save.php endpoint concatenates the flag POST value into a locale path without sanitization and writes the code POST value verbatim into the resulting PHP file. Direct exploitation requires an administrator session; absent CSRF validation and SameSite=None cookies also let attackers induce a logged-in administrator to create a web shell.
