CVE-2026-40867Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated attachment disclosure via unchecked numeric ID

Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026

Broken object-level authorization in Horilla HRMS 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other tickets' attachments. The helpdesk view-ticket-document route selects the first Attachment matching doc_id and returns its file without checking access to the parent ticket. Any regular account can substitute another numeric attachment ID; the demonstrated consequence is cross-ticket file disclosure, with no reported write or service-interruption capability.
