Authenticated code execution via unfiltered cache deserialization
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Unsafe deserialization in Apache Camel allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through crafted Infinispan cache entries. The ProtoStream remote aggregation repository passes cached bytes to ObjectInputStream.readObject without an ObjectInputFilter. Exploitation requires write access to the application’s Infinispan cache; a later get or recover operation runs the injected object in the application process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.14.7
- Affected versionversion=4.15.0 <4.18.2
