OS command injection in the WNC T-Mobile 5G Box IDU before 1.1.0.651412 allows remote authenticated users to gain root access. The /cgi-bin/portal.cgi ping handler inserts the ping_ip, ping_size, and ping_times POST values into a system command without validation or sanitization. Access requires authentication to the router's web interface; injected shell commands execute with root privileges.
