Published Mar 21, 2026 · Updated Mar 21, 2026
Stored XSS in Ecover Builder For Dummies 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an ecover shortcode. The ecover shortcode handler in plugin_builder.php places its user-supplied id attribute into generated page output without sanitization or escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload in a post or page, and the script runs when a user visits the injected content.
