Authenticated file deletion via insufficient path validation
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Path traversal in Groundhogg 4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files through its WordPress interface. The deletion request accepts a user-controlled file path without adequately restricting it to an intended directory. Sales Representative-level access is required; deleting wp-config.php can disable the site and enable code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=n/a <=4.4 changes=[{"at":"4.4.1","status":"unaffected"}]
