Stored XSS via unrestricted font preference
Published May 22, 2026 · Updated May 22, 2026
Stored XSS in MantisBT 2.11.0 through 2.28.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted font preference. account_prefs_update.php stores the font_family request value as configuration without checking it against the configured font list, and page layout output emits the value. Execution requires another user to load a MantisBT page; account takeover also requires the separate CSP bypass.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
