Cross-user reply recall via missing ownership check
Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026
Missing authorization in FreeScout before 1.8.214 allows remote authenticated users to recall another agent's outbound reply. The undoReply controller authorizes access to the parent conversation but fails to compare the thread's created_by_user_id with the current user. A mailbox peer must know the reply thread identifier and act within the 15-second undo window, converting the sent reply back to a draft.
