CVE-2026-40490Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via cross-origin redirect propagation

Published Apr 18, 2026 · Updated Apr 18, 2026

Origin validation failure in Async Http Client before 2.14.5 and 3.0.0.Beta1 through 3.0.8 allows remote attackers to steal credentials. Redirect30xInterceptor propagates Authorization and Proxy-Authorization headers and retains Realm credentials without comparing the destination scheme, host, or port. Redirect following and an attacker-controlled cross-origin target or HTTP man-in-the-middle position are required; exposed data includes bearer tokens and Basic or Digest credentials.
