Authenticated RCE via unfiltered backup image copy
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in ChurchCRM before 7.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted backup archive. RestoreJob.php passes the extracted Images directory to FileSystemUtils::recursiveCopyDirectory(), which copies PHP files into the web-accessible image root without validating file type. Administrative access to the restore endpoint is required, but the missing CSRF check lets attackers induce a logged-in administrator to upload the archive; the webshell runs as the web server user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
