Unauthenticated denial of service via unbounded webhook reads
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in monetr before 1.12.4 allows remote attackers to crash the service via oversized webhook requests. The public Stripe webhook handler buffers the entire attacker-controlled body in memory before checking its Stripe signature, so invalid requests consume memory in proportion to their size. Exploitation requires Stripe webhooks to be enabled and reachable without an upstream body-size limit; sufficient requests make the API unresponsive or crash its process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
