CVE-2026-40459Network attack vector

Unauthorized directory operations via unescaped LDAP identifiers

Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026

LDAP injection in pac4j-ldap allows remote authenticated users to execute unauthorized LDAP queries through crafted account IDs. LdapProfileService concatenates unescaped ID values into distinguished names used by insert and delete operations and directly joins values into search filters. Low-privileged access to an application path that forwards an attacker-controlled ID is required; successful requests permit unauthorized searches and arbitrary directory operations.
