Unauthenticated LDAP account inference via unescaped filter
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
LDAP response discrepancy in ProjectSend r1945 allows remote attackers to infer LDAP account data through crafted login requests. The loginLdap method inserts ldap_email directly into the (mail=...) filter passed to ldap_search without LDAP-filter escaping, producing match-dependent outcomes. Exploitation requires LDAP authentication to be configured and reachable through the login flow; the reported consequence is limited to disclosure through response differences.
