Null pointer dereference in tcpip.sys across affected Windows releases allows remote attackers to interrupt systems via adjacent IPv6 traffic. The Windows IPv6 receive path dereferences a null pointer while processing crafted IPv6 extension headers. No credentials or user interaction are required, but the attacker must reach the target on an adjacent network; exploitation interrupts the operating system.
