CVE-2026-40309Network attack vector

Permanent trash deletion via forged administrator request

Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Masa CMS allows remote attackers to permanently empty the trash through a logged-in administrator's browser. The cTrash.empty function accepts trash-management requests without validating an anti-CSRF token, so a cross-site request invokes bulk deletion. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open an attacker-controlled page or link; all trashed content is then irreversibly deleted without confirmation or consent.
