CVE-2026-40290Public exploit

Secure-world memory corruption via unlocked teardown race

Published Jun 3, 2026 · Updated Jun 3, 2026

Use-after-free in OP-TEE OS 3.16.0 through 4.10.0 allows local users to corrupt secure-world memory through concurrent FF-A calls. sp_mem_remove() frees receiver and region list entries before removing the shared-memory object under sp_mem_lock, so parallel lookup or sharing paths dereference freed entries. The flaw is reachable only when CFG_SECURE_PARTITION=y configures OP-TEE as an SPMC for S-EL0 secure partitions, and freed-object reads can disclose secure-world data.
