Code execution via automatic working-directory module import
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Code injection in PraisonAI before 4.5.139 and praisonaiagents before 1.5.140 allows local users to execute Python code via tools.py. The call.py import_tools_from_file(), tool_resolver.py _load_local_tools(), and CLI loaders import the working-directory module without validation or confirmation. Placing tools.py in a shared, cloned, or writable launch directory is required; its module-level code then runs with the PraisonAI process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
