Open redirect via unvalidated Referer host
Published Apr 16, 2026 · Updated Apr 16, 2026
Open redirect in @adonisjs/http-server before 7.8.1 and 8.0.0-next.0 through 8.1.3 allows remote attackers to redirect users. The response.redirect().back() and response.redirect('back') paths trust the incoming Referer URL without checking its host before setting the redirect destination. Exploitation requires an application route using either helper and user interaction with an attacker-influenced Referer, resulting in navigation to an external site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
