Unauthenticated subscription deletion via missing handler return
Published Apr 16, 2026 · Updated Apr 16, 2026
Improper authorization in free5GC UDR 1.4.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete Traffic Influence Subscriptions over the SBI. HandleApplicationDataInfluenceDataSubsToNotifySubscriptionIdDelete sends a 404 for an invalid influenceId but continues into the deletion procedure because it omits a return. SBI reachability and a known or guessed subscriptionId are sufficient; deletion removes active subscription state while the response misleadingly reports failure.
