Administrator command execution via unescaped template backticks
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Command injection in EGroupware affected releases allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute shell commands. Widget::expand_name inserts template attributes into PHP eval while escaping only double quotes, so backticks invoke shell_exec. Exploitation requires an administrator-controlled .xet upload and shell_exec enabled; affected branches are before 23.1.20260601 and 26.0.20251208 through 26.0.20260112.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
