CVE-2026-40185Network attack vector

Authenticated photo data access via unchecked trip IDs

Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026

Missing authorization in TREK before 2.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter Immich trip photo data. The Immich route handlers accept a tripId and query or modify photo and album-link records without calling canAccessTrip for the requesting user. Any authenticated user who knows another trip identifier can access its photo metadata and album links or change photo-sharing state without trip membership.
