Arbitrary file writes via unvalidated ZIP paths
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
Path traversal in Quarkus OpenAPI Generator before 2.16.0 allows attackers to write arbitrary files via crafted Apicurio ZIPs. ApicurioCodegenWrapper.unzip resolves each entry name beneath the output directory and writes it without normalizing the path or verifying containment. Exploitation requires control or interception of the registry archive during server-stub generation and can overwrite source, configuration, or build-output files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
