Kernel data disclosure, tampering, or crash via TraceEvent
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Stack overflow in affected BlackBerry QNX Neutrino products allows local users to disclose or alter kernel data or crash the kernel. The overflow occurs in the TraceEvent() system-call entry handler, but BlackBerry has not disclosed the unchecked operation or input. Exploitation requires local access and high-complexity conditions; success compromises kernel data or interrupts the system through a kernel crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
