Code execution via auto-loaded remote template tools
Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026
Code execution in PraisonAI before 4.5.128 allows remote attackers to run Python code through a remotely sourced template. The template registry caches downloaded Python files without origin or integrity validation, and tool_resolver.py invokes exec_module() on cached tools.py without confirmation. Exploitation requires an operator to install and run an attacker-controlled template; the code then executes with that operator's filesystem, environment, and network access.
