CVE-2026-40047Network attack vector

Argument injection and path traversal via custom flags

Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026

Argument injection in Apache Camel Docling 4.15.0 through 4.18.2 allows attackers to pass unintended flags to the docling subprocess. DoclingProducer appends CamelDoclingCustomArguments header values to a ProcessBuilder argument list after only denylist checks and a literal ../ path test. Exposure requires a route to place externally influenced values in custom-argument or path-bearing headers; shell metacharacters do not yield OS command execution.
