Authenticated shortcode execution via unchecked AJAX parameters
Published Mar 21, 2026 · Updated Mar 21, 2026
Code injection in Eoxia Task Manager 3.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary WordPress shortcodes. The search AJAX handler's callback_search() function passes sanitized but bracket-bearing task_id, point_id, categories_id, or term input into do_shortcode() without a capability check. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the resulting impact is limited to functionality exposed by shortcodes registered on the site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
