Authenticated ManageSieve crash via extreme numeric literal
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Buffer underwrite in OX Dovecot CE before 2.4.5 and Pro before 2.3.22.2, 3.0.7, or 3.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to crash ManageSieve. During CHECKSCRIPT or PUTSCRIPT compilation, the Pigeonhole compiler processes an extreme numeric literal with an out-of-bounds write. Valid ManageSieve credentials and an enabled service are required; exploitation corrupts memory and interrupts script management.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
