Session hijacking via retained pre-authentication identifier

Session fixation in Apache Wicket 8.0.0 through 8.17.0, 9.0.0 through 9.22.0, and 10.0.0 through 10.8.0 allows remote attackers to hijack sessions. AuthenticatedWebSession binds the authenticated session without invoking the Servlet request's changeSessionId method, leaving the pre-authentication identifier valid. Exploitation requires fixing that identifier in a victim browser before sign-in; subsequent reuse grants the victim's authenticated access without affecting service availability.
