Arbitrary file access via unchecked workspace paths
Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026
Path traversal in DevXT AGiXT before 1.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to read, write, or delete arbitrary server files. The essential_abilities safe_join function normalizes a workspace path built from command arguments but does not verify that the resolved path remains under the agent workspace. A valid API key is required, but no elevated privilege or user interaction is needed; file operations run with the server process's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
