Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode style attribute
Published Apr 15, 2026 · Updated Apr 15, 2026
Stored XSS in WebMind WM JqMath 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a crafted shortcode. The generate_jqMathFormula() function inserts the user-controlled style attribute into an HTML style attribute without escaping it. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which runs in a visitor's browser whenever the injected page is viewed.
