Unauthenticated bot-flow manipulation via unsigned webhooks
Published May 22, 2026 · Updated May 22, 2026
Improper authentication in Typebot before 3.17.0 allows remote attackers to spoof WhatsApp webhook messages via a public endpoint. The handleProductionWebhookRequest handler processes webhook entries without validating Meta's x-hub-signature-256 HMAC header. Knowledge of the workspace and credential IDs is sufficient to trigger bot flows, pollute results, and consume external-service resources under the workspace owner's credentials.
