CVE-2026-39958Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Malicious APT source injection via manifest name

Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026

CRLF injection in AOSC-Dev oma before 1.25.2 allows remote attackers to add malicious APT sources through a crafted Topic Manifest. The oma-topics TopicManager writes the unvalidated manifest name into /etc/apt/sources.list.d/atm.list, so an embedded newline escapes a comment and becomes an active repository entry. Exploitation requires control of a configured repository or a man-in-the-middle position and a user to enable the topic; later package installation can execute attacker-supplied code.
