CVE-2026-39943Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via unsanitized revision snapshots

Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026

Cleartext storage in Directus before 11.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive credentials from revision history. Item create and update snapshots bypass the prepareDelta sanitization pipeline, while auto-suspension revisions write the raw user object. Read access to directus_revisions or flow logs is required; exposed tokens and two-factor secrets enable account takeover, and exposed provider keys enable unauthorized API use.
