Authenticated schema disclosure via unvalidated property lookup
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Property injection in Code Genie Serverless Express 4.17.0 through 4.17.1 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate object properties. The Users endpoint parses the filter query parameter as JSON, then utils/dynamodb.ts indexes each result with the unvalidated f.property value, including prototype-chain names. A valid JWT is required; response differences disclose schema and runtime structure without modifying data or interrupting service.
