Local privilege escalation through undisclosed Endpoint Agent flaw
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
Privilege escalation in affected Symantec Data Loss Prevention Windows Endpoint 16.0, 16.1, and 25.1 releases allows local users to gain elevated access. Broadcom has not published the affected Endpoint Agent component or the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires existing low-privilege access to a Windows endpoint and grants access to resources normally protected from that user.
