CVE-2026-39907Public exploitNetwork attack vector

NTLMv2 hash disclosure via unsanitized UNC path

Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026

External path control in Unisys WebPerfect Image Suite 3.0.3960.22810 and 3.0.3960.22604 allows remote attackers to leak NTLMv2 hashes. LicenseFilePar.OpenLicenseFile passes the attacker-controlled LFName value to File.Exists without sanitization, so a UNC path makes the Windows host authenticate to an attacker-controlled SMB share. Unauthenticated network access to the WCF ReadLicense action on TCP port 1208 is sufficient; the response can also reveal whether a local file exists, but not its contents.
