CVE-2026-39871

User-data disclosure via flawed path handling

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Information disclosure in Apple macOS TV App before 14.8.7, 15.7.7, and 26.5 allows local users to observe unprotected user data. TV App applies incorrect logic when handling a path, but Apple has not disclosed the affected operation or how the path crosses a data-protection boundary. Execution of an app on an affected Mac is required, and the documented consequence is data observation without reported modification or service interruption.
