Expression injection in OpenRemote before 1.22.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through JavaScript rules. RulesetDeployment.compileRulesJavascript appends supplied rules text and passes it to Nashorn ScriptEngine.eval without a ClassFilter, while RulesResourceImpl omits the superuser restriction for JavaScript. Remote authenticated users need only the write:rules role; the resulting JVM access permits file and environment-variable reads and cross-tenant access.
