CVE-2026-39825Network attack vector

Proxy-filter bypass via excess query parameters

Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026

Query-parameter smuggling in Go net/http/httputil before 1.25.10 and 1.26.0-0 through 1.26.2 allows remote attackers to bypass proxy filters. The cleanQueryParams path in ReverseProxy.ServeHTTP reuses the raw query after url.ParseQuery reaches its parameter limit, leaving trailing parameters unseen by Rewrite or a parsing Director. Exploitation requires such proxy logic and a request above the configured limit; the backend then receives a parameter hidden from proxy-side controls.
