Authenticated service hang via crafted HTTP requests
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Integer overflow in cgi_buf_alloc in affected Fortinet FortiWeb releases allows remote authenticated users to cause a service hang. Crafted HTTP requests make the request-handling allocation path enter an infinite loop instead of completing or rejecting the request. Authentication with high privileges is required, and the documented consequence is loss of availability without data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0.0 <=7.0.12
- Affected versionversion=7.2.0 <=7.2.12
- Affected versionversion=7.4.0 <=7.4.12
- Affected versionversion=7.6.0 <=7.6.6
