CVE-2026-39810

Database disclosure via hard-coded encryption key

Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026

Hard-coded key use in Fortinet FortiClient EMS 7.4.0 through 7.4.1 and 7.4.3 through 7.4.5 allows local users to decrypt database dumps. Database-dump encryption relies on a fixed cryptographic key, allowing protected contents to be recovered rather than remaining confidential. Exploitation requires local access and high privileges under Fortinet's assessment; the disclosed consequence is database information exposure.
