CVE-2026-39806Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated service hang via trailer parsing loop

Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026

Infinite loop in the HTTP/1 chunked decoder in Mat Trudel Bandit 1.6.1 through 1.11.0 allows remote attackers to hang the service. The do_read_chunked_data!/5 routine treats trailer bytes as chunk data, calculates a negative read length, and recurses after timeouts without consuming input. Any unauthenticated HTTP/1 client that can send a chunked body with trailers can pin workers until connections close; several pinned workers interrupt service for other traffic.
