Authenticated device compromise via stack buffer overflow
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W3 1.0.0.3(2204) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt device memory via a crafted POST request. The formWifiMacFilterGet handler at /goform/WifiMacFilterGet processes an oversized value without enforcing stack-buffer bounds; the CNA names wl_radio, while the PoC uses index. Low-privileged management access is required, and successful exploitation can fully compromise the device without user interaction.
