Authenticated stack corruption via oversized SSID parameters
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda i3 1.0.0.6(2204) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt stack memory via crafted index or GO parameters. The formwrlSSIDset handler at /goform/wifiSSIDset accepts oversized index and GO values without enforcing a safe bound before placing them in stack storage. Low-privileged access to the device web interface is required; successful exploitation can interrupt the access point or compromise firmware execution.
