Unauthenticated webhook registration via unprotected REST endpoint
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce 2.0.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to register PayPal webhooks. The admin webhook-registration REST endpoint accepts unauthenticated requests because its route omits the authorization check required for an administrative action. No WordPress account or user interaction is required; exploitation changes webhook registration state, with no reported data disclosure or service interruption.
