Stored XSS via untyped long-item preview
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in AIL Framework before 6.8 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript when an authenticated user previews a crafted item. The modal item preview returns attacker-controlled content longer than 800 characters without an explicit text/plain content type, so browsers parse it as active HTML. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open the crafted preview, and the script runs in that user's AIL browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
