File write via unchecked SCORM ZIP extraction
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Path traversal in Frappe Learning before 2.50.1 allows remote authenticated users with course editing access to write arbitrary files. The extract_package function passed ZIP members to ZipFile.extractall without resolving each destination and confirming that it remained under the SCORM directory. Crafted traversal components therefore let a course editor create or overwrite files accessible to the application account outside the intended extraction directory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
