Administrator session theft via unsanitized job output
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Stored XSS in Cronicle before 0.9.111 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The server copies HTML and table fields from job output without sanitization, and JobDetails.class.js inserts the stored values into innerHTML. The attack requires create_events and run_events privileges and an administrator to open the affected Job Details page; the script can steal the administrator's session and act with that account's privileges.
