Unauthenticated collection CRUD via overridden access controls
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Missing authorization in @delmaredigital/payload-puck before 0.6.23 allows remote attackers to perform CRUD on Puck collections. The /api/puck/* handlers registered by createPuckPlugin() invoke Payload's local API with overrideAccess set to true, ignoring configured collection rules. No authentication is required, but access is limited to collections explicitly registered with the plugin's allowlist.
